This drawings was taken from a page in the Carriage Terminology, Smithsonian Institute Press 1998 because the print on the plans was too large to copy. You may order copies of the book for $85 + $10 s/h but it is going out of print soon. |

The plans are for building a Civil War Covered wagon pulled by 6 mules, very similar to the photos above. The plans were hand-drawn to scale. I put them on 2 very large sheets of paper. It also comes with the Army Quartermaster description typed on 4 pages of paper. The drawings and description were provided by the Carriage Museum of America for me to duplicate. |
