Models and Kits by Jak the Tinker

These wooden models are made for collectors and not recommended for children. They are made by Jak the Tinker previously from Minnesota but currently living in Central America. He enjoys making these wagons & sleds and sells them to buy food, medicine and school supplies for very poor families in Central America. The wood is a combination of local pine, mahogany, red cedar and oak. The wheels are plastic and there are a few small metal pieces to make them look authentic and so the parts are movable. Click on the pictures for a slightly larger view. A few of these wagons are available as a kit for the people who like to assemble and finish with their own paint. More kits will be available soon. |

Farm wagon with 1 slat sides and 3" wheels. Box measures 9"
long, 4

carriage. Over all from the tip of tongue to the back of wagon is 19
½" long.

Hay Wagon with 2" wheels. 7

½ inches long and with the tongue it

Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus Wagon with a large
and a small elephant pulling the double display wagon with 2 gazelles on
one side and 3 zebras on the other side - mounted on board 20" long, 6"
wide and 9" tall. The wagon is 9
½" by 7
½" not counting the shafts to the
elephants. There are two 2" wheels and two 3" wheels.

½" long with the tongue. The signs say "Montana Range Horses",
"Horses - Mules - Jackasses" and "Buy - Sale - Trade". These were
modeled from memory of the actual horse trader wagons used in the west.

Chassis The larger wheels in the back are 3" tall and the smaller wheels in
the front are 2" tall. The wheels are plastic, some vehicles use the 2"
wheels and others use 3" wheels depending on the vehicle design and
decision of the model maker. The bolsters are 2
½" wide on the inside and 6
¾" long front to back. The reach is
adjustable. The under carriages shown here are also available in kit
form.
